Hello again.
calChives is turning one. As the temperatures begin to cool down and enter a new season, I have finally come to realize how this newsletter has blossomed into both my creativity and self-expression through clothes. And while some don’t get the vision, that truly doesn’t mean I’ll stop creating what I enjoy. Which is okay. As long as you have fun in the process, maybe you don’t care about the attention after all.
But most importantly, I finally found Substack as a second home for jotting down what’s on my mind when it comes to…pretty much everything.
It’s also the start of a new beginning. A refreshed perspective of what’s coming in the next few months. I have come a long way in terms of my style and sharing some bits of my life on the internet. And I think I finally found myself along the way, and found my craft, too. Yet you’ve probably heard me say all of this throughout the first year (so apologies for repeating myself), but I’m feeling so reborn to create in a place where I can fulfill it and not let it sit in my mind.
With that being said, a fully refined calChives is coming, starting in late August (though you’ve probably seen some changes right now when you open up the Substack link). Since I have the room to myself at Anchor, I’ll utilize the space as a full studio to shoot photos, do reviews, and more. I don’t have the headspace at the moment ‘cause there are so many bright ideas, though it’ll all click together during those last few months of the year and beyond. I also don’t know if I should be active on all my platforms, but if my heart feels right to share with you all, I’ll do so.
Nervous for the long road ahead, but it’s finally here. A new era is here. A million thanks to the small group of supporters who have read my articles over the past year. Can’t wait to share with you what’s in store this fall. More stuff soon.
With love,
Renzo
